Seven Mountains of Influence

E-mail Print PDF

"Give me this Mountain!"

There are 7 areas in life that "Shape Society". In this article you will see what these "Seven Mountains" are about and you will be given an "Apostolic Charge" to identify Your Mountain and Ascend it in Jesus' Name!

We are called to be like Caleb who said to Joshua;

The Prophet Micah said in chapter 4:1 - 2

"But in the last days it shall come to pass, that the mountain of the house of the LORD shall be established in the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and people shall flow unto it.  And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem."

The House of the Lord today is The Church and it is to be exalted above all the other mountains of society. That means that the Church is supposed to have a "sphere of influence" in Society...

2 Corinthians 10:15 speaks about "Spheres of Influence".

Whoever controls these Mountains Shapes Society.

We must scale these Seven Mountains and

Plant the Banner of Jesus at the summit of each one!

The Seven Mountains of Influence are:
  1. Family: Where Generational Blessings or Curses are passed on to our children
  2. Education: Where either Truth or lies about God and His Creation are taught
  3. Government: Where Evil is either Restrained or Endorsed
  4. Business: Where people build for the Glory of God or the glory of man
  5. Media: Where events, news and information are interpreted and passed on people through the lens of good or evil
  6. The Arts & Entertainment: Where Values and Virtues are either celebrated or distorted
  7. Religion: Where people worship God in "Spirit and Truth" or settle for religious rituals

Matthew 28:18 - 20 (NLT) Jesus came and told his disciples, "I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth.  Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age."

Jesus wants us to see the Apostolic Command to "Go Ye" in the light of these Seven Mountains of Influence and to begin to scale them until the Banner of Jesus is firmly planted on the summit of each mountain. Then, the Gospel shall have been preached in all the world and we can look for "the end of the age". Revelations 5:9-10 says we are called to be "kings and priests to our God; and we shall reign on the earth."We have seen the Church rise up into its "Priestly Role" through the increase in Praise and Worship... We need to see the Church rise up into its "Kingly Role". The way to do this is to scale the Seven Mountains of Influence and bring Jesus' perspective to the world. This is the Apostolic Mandate for today!

We are being "Sent" by the Holy Spirit to "Shape Society"

and  to "prepare a people for the Return of the Lord"...

Apostle Mark Pfeifer; a friend of mine from Southern Ohio says:

"Kings are rulers with a conquering mentality: logical, functional, money-minded, and strategic. However, research shows that Kings can maximize their ability to successfully lead people by also operating as a Priest."

Now, think about this:

A Priest without a Sacrifice is not a Priest

We can that Jesus as our High Priest brought himself to the Altar.

As Priests we can bring the "Sacrifice of Praise" to the Altar. We can also bring our Tithes and Offerings which are also "Sacrifices" that are pleasing to God.

A King without Power is not a King...

Jesus said; "All power has been given unto me in all the world... Go Ye!"

We demonstrate God's power in three ways...

  1. Power over Sin through Grace
  2. Power over Demons and Sickness through Faith
  3. Power over Poverty through Wealth
The Church has talked about Grace and Faith
but it has neglected the Power of Wealth
    and the Transfer of Wealth
to those whom God sees as "Society Changers".

We have moved in the Kingly Role with Grace and Faith and now it is time to Create Wealth... Solomon said: "Money talks and is an answer to everything". We need to handle Grace properly and not have "sloppy agape" and we must handle Faith properly and not walk in hyper-faith or presumption!

We also have to handle Money properly and not be caught up with greed! As we do we will begin to have an influence on society that the Church has not walked in since the early days of the Apostles.

Our Apostolic Mandate is to "GO" an

Reign on the earth as Kings and Priests!
